How to publish GLTF model to the cloud for Extended Reality Collaboration

PUBLISH GLTF MODELS TO THE EXXAR CLOUD SERVER

Open login.exxar.cloud & login securely with your credentials – note that you need to have a valid exxar.cloud login for this.

If you don’t have a valid login, simply click on Register Now to create a FREE account. You will need to enter a valid email address and click on the verification link from your email sent by Exxar.

Select Upload Model tab -> Choose File option to browse and select the the zip file you just created

You can specify the Model Name for the published file and a Scale Unit.

Exxar uses the default units to be in meters. So if your SOLIDWORKS units are in centimeters, you need to enter 100 here.

Hit Upload. Exxar will upload the file and also validate if the file has the necessary data & format as per GLTF specifications.

Once complete, hit the Model List tab to verify that the uploaded model is available in the folder.

If you need to change the data frequently, the above process of manually saving a file, performing zip operation and uploading to exxar.cloud might be painful and tedious. In that case, you can use the Exxar Stream plugin to directly publish the XR Exporter file from within Solidworks with the click of a button
